Our Training Offers

Our training courses cover all areas of human factors and risk management, encouraging interactivity and discussions among the participants in order to tackle the issues specific to their needs. They encourage discussion and interaction amongst its participants, in order to approach their specific problematics. The content of the modules might be tailored as a function of individually specific prerequisites.

All of our training courses are offered in 4 languages: English, French, Spanish, and Italian.

Here are some examples of training sessions we regularly organize:

Fatigue Risk Management Systems (FRMS)

This course aims to educate its participants on scientific findings surrounding sleep, fatigue, their causes and effects, and to present tools and methods to prevent by its means off fatigue risk assessmenst. By the end of training, participants will be able to assist the implementation of a FRMS and to deploy associated operational means: schedule evaluation, data collection, set up of specific indicators, etc.

Duration: 2 Days

  • Day 1: Scientific bases of sleep and fatigue, main causes of fatigue, consequences on performance and safety, individual management of fatigue.
  • Day 2: Analysis and management of fatigue risk, principles and tools of FRMS (biomathematical models, sleep diary, actigraphy, etc.). Presentation of theoritical examples and practical experience (workshop on schedule evaluation).

Target Audience

Managers involved in fatigue risk management and/or shift scheduling planning.

Individual Management of Fatigue

This course will raise awareness regarding fatigue-related risks among employees and go forth in providing concrete recommendations to improving their fatigue management (sleep management, food hygiene, physical fitness, nap management…).

Human Factors and Risk Management

The goal of this course is to teach the bases of human functioning at a physiological and psychological level: explaining the implications for performance and safety, and developing concrete Human Factor application cases (accident analysis, safety culture assessment, etc.)

Duration: 5 Days

  • Days 1 and 2: Human performance characteristics and limitations
    ● Physiological bases (sensorial illusions and perception, sleep, fatigue, workload and stress…)
    ● Cognitive functions (memory, attention, decision making, errors…)
  • Day 3: Psychosocial aspects (teamwork and communication, peer pressure)
  • Day 4: Organizational aspects, safety culture, human factors models and safety (Shell, Reason, TEM)
  • Day 5: Risk assessment and accident investigation

Target Audience

All personnel involved in the risk management system of the company.

Safety Management Systems (SMS)

Learn about Human Factors and Safety by reviewing safety models, as well as varied incident/accident investigation methods and their associated limitations. This course includes theoretical background, multimedia contents (movies), and group exercises.

Duration: 5 Days

    – Day 1: Introduction to Safety and SMS, theoritical. Main components of SMS. Group exercise on the benefits of SMS.
    – Day 2: Introduction to Human Factors and Safety. Human performance: cognition, psychosocial factors, errors and violations.
    – Day 3: Organizational factors and Safety Culture ; Case studies ; Safety models ; Incident/Accident analysis methodology.
    – Day 4: Fatigue Risk Management Systems (FRMS).
    – Day 5: Group exercise: Implementation of a Fatigue Risk Management System into an SMS.

Target Audience

All personnel involved in safety management, risk assessment and management, and quality assurance within organizations. Safety personnel within regulation’s agencies.
