CERTIFICATION

A training course designed to provide in-depth knowledge of safety management systems. The course comprises six comprehensive modules. Each module equips learners with specific knowledge and tools aimed at improving their safety management systems.

  • Staff in charge of security and safety (managers and directors)

The course is available in several versions, depending on participants' level of expertise, from beginner to expert.

For the “beginner” version, no prerequisites are required.

For the ‘expert’ version, participants must have a background in a relevant profession or field of study (psychology, senior management, occupational risks, health and safety at work, human and organisational factors, etc.). Ideally, participants should have completed the ‘human and organisational factors’ course from the Welbees training catalogue.

  • Understand the principles and methodologies for implementing a SMS
  • Develop knowledge on the development of a safety culture
  • Understanding the principles of a safety culture.
  • Identify the organisational and cultural factors that influence safety and the level of maturity of the safety culture
  • Develop leadership that promotes safety.
  • Encourage reporting and the reporting of security information
  • Facilitating a participatory safety initiative
  • Integrating safety into day-to-day management practices
  • Engaging teams in safety issues
  • To help foster a just culture within teams in relation to safety issues

DAY 1

  • Module 1: Introduction to safety and SMS. 
  • Module 2: Presentation of the main components of the SMS. 

DAY 2

  • Module 3: Human factors and safety.  
  • Module 4: Human performance: psychosocial and cognitive factors, errors and violations.

DAY 3

  • Module 5: Organisational factors and safety culture
  • Module 6: Case studies
